Brooke is a dedicated Reading Specialist and Curriculum Coach in the Alaska Gateway School District, bringing over a decade of experience in various roles. Starting as an elementary teacher, she later served as the principal of Tanacross School, where she significantly raised student achievement and fostered community involvement. Currently serving as the district's curriculum coach, Brooke passionately assists teachers with professional development and learning communities. She has been instrumental in integrating the Science of Reading principles and implementing the Alaska Reads Act, demonstrating exemplary leadership. She is praised for her empathy, clarity, and innovation in elevating literacy programs and supporting teacher development. Her dedication and leadership make her a standout educator and inspiring reading advocate.
Families with children ages 3-5yrs are invited to our free READY! for Kindergarten Program parent session on Tuesday,May 7th, at 5:30 PM at Tok School.
This interactive workshop will provide strategies and hands-on activities to promote school readiness skills for your child. Parents will receive a complimentary kit of resources to continue the learning fun at home. There will be door prizes, as well as dinner and childcare at no cost.
