AGSD Students Take Prizes in Jr. Duck Stamp & Migratory Bird Calendar Contests

This spring, Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge worked with students across AGSD schools and encouraged participation in two art contests. One was the Alaska Junior Duck Stamp contest, and the other was the Migratory Bird Calendar Contest. Students across the district submitted awesome artwork and literature.

Tok Middle School had several winners, including

3rd place: Dayton Landroche and Ande Berg

2nd Place: Savanna Rutledge - Savanna was also a State winner!

As well as Honorable Mentions for Heaven Albert, River Rajala, Bryan Adams, Sayje Antrim, and Demitri James

Northway winners were:  

Jasmine Jimmie second grade, literature

Kayann Thomas, second grade, literature - Kayann was also a State winner!

Isis Albert, 1st grade, literature

Dot Lake winners:

Kevin Shank won a blue ribbon for his drawing. Brandy Hendren-Rice and Steven Hardcastle were given certificates of participation. They also received a sketch pad and watercolors. The school was given a large drawing pad and watercolors.
