ALASKA GATEWAY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Each year, the Alaska Head Start Association’s annual awards recognize outstanding performance in Alaska’s Head Start programs.  This year Alaska Gateway was nominated and won an Award of Excellence for School District Collaboration. Our partnership with Tanana Chiefs Conference Head Start began in 2012 with Scott MacManus, Superintendent and Pam Gingue, Special Program Coordinator.  Through this successful partnership we are able to coordinate staff and parent trainings and provide center-based and home-based services children and families in the communities of Northway and Tetlin.
